TRIGGER WARNING
That night, I laid in bed watching 13 Reasons Why. Like Hannah, before she killed herself, I thought about what my life would be like if Quinn didn't save me...if I wasn't sucked into being an immortal vampire who has no control whatsoever over any humanlike features, such as simple things like eating to complex things like having kids. I sometimes think back on the day I would've died, wishing that I really did.
"She's not gonna make it, the tumor is reaching too far across her lungs. We have to pull the plug." one of the nurses said, and I fluttered my eyes. I saw many nurses rushing around my room with different needles and things in their hands, which made me thrash around. "Shh, calm down, it'll all be ok in a minute. Let me call your mother in here..." the nurse said as she re-fastened my breathing tube. I looked around the room and saw my mother walk in, one hand over her mouth and the other clutching her purse. She had dark bags under her blue eyes and her blonde curls hung neatly by her breasts, still managing to look nice even though she was told that her daughter is about to die. "Kristen...I-I-I just wanted to let you know that I love you and that this is not your fault. Any of it. It's mine. I should've never picked up that first cigarette...it only led to addiction, and now look where that got me. My baby girl is about to...to..." she explained, but I weakly put my hand on her arm. I knew very well that when I was diagnosed with lung cancer that it was second-hand smoke from my mother, but I couldn't badger her or make her feel bad about her addiction more than my cancer already had. The only reason she started smoking again was because of old things and new things. Old things were my father leaving when I was born and never being seen again, her losing her well-paying job, having to feed and take care of a baby, and still juggle a social life. New things were the stress of her 16'th job she managed to pick up since I was born, bills, my grades dipping, income dropping, prices getting higher on everything, ect. "It's ok. I'll be in a better place now." I told her, and she started to bawl, but the nurse that fixed my breathing tube helped her up and started to usher her out of the room. my mother started to scream and try to fight to get back to me, but I waved her out. "I can do it on my own." a pretty blonde nurse said as everyone left, and she walked over to me. "I will save you. This might hurt a little bit, but it'll all be worth it. I promise." she said and lowered her face to my wrist...
I snapped out of my memory and went back to my show. I pushed all of the negative thoughts out of my head-I was meant to be a vampire.

My arm was gushing blood. What just happened. Kirsten told me that Alice wasn’t herself, that there was a different Alice. Heck as much as I know the other Alice could have another name! I walked into the house, Quinn paying me no mind, besides the fact that there was blood everywhere I went. She frowned when she found the source of the blood. She wrapped up my arm then went around the house muttering that she had to ‘decontaminate’ the whole thing. It was nice enough that she gave me a room that I could stay in. That was probably the extent of her niceness. I looked around the humble little room. It was more than I ever got. I thought. Heck I could’ve been— My thoughts were cut off by the sound of Kirstin entering the room. “Hey” She mumbled. “Hey” I say, turning away from her. “Sorry about your arm,” She said motioning to my bandages, “I should have warned you sooner that she has a...different side.” She sits down right next to me and I refuse to make eye contact. “It seems like everyone refuses to give me an early warning.” I say, my voice barely above a whisper. I knew she could hear me because of her vampire senses. She frowns, “Well...” She starts trailing off not knowing what to say. “It’s okay. I’m used to this kind of treatment.” I say stiffening, suddenly the room felt stuffy and I couldn’t breathe. “I need to go outside.” I say standing up. She stays seated, she looks at me like I’m some sort of broken puppy. “I really don’t need your sympathy.” I say and she looks at me. “You can go, home, I mean.” The words catch in my throat, I was about to say there is no home to go home to, but I couldn’t. Instead I spoke softly, “Isn’t it beautiful, the way we fall apart?” I ask then I turn away.
*Sorry for the sad ending. There’s this song that I like listening to, it’s called We Fall Apart, by We As Human and it just worked really well with this RP that I just couldn’t avoid adding the lyrics in. Thanks for putting up with my stupid RP posts hope you like it! ~MaxWinter*

"Max! MAX!!" I heard Mason yell, and I walked downstairs from my room. I saw Mason's light silver pelt chasing Max's dark grey pelt, and I took off, using the advantage of my vampire speed. I slid to a halt when I saw Mason pinning Max to the ground, Max barking and nipping at Mason. "You know you have a home. Those people I showed you are your parents. And just because they 'pay more attention to your brother' doesn't mean anything! For god's sake, what were they supposed to do? You ran away." I spat, and she pushed Mason off, and she phased. "I will never get attention there!" she yelled, and I raised my eyebrows. "So you caused this scene just for attention? As if we haven't given you a home with fresh food and water and you throw it all away for attention?" I snap, and she shook her head.

I watched the group of teens arguing and yelling, I could feel Sarah faintly tugging and pulling. I sat and closed my eyes, I was transported into my mind where I did most of the problem solving. Sarah was pleading and whining, almost as though begging for control of my body. She turned to face me and she staggered back a little, I was no longer afraid of her, I was the one in control of my body. Sarah must have sensed it since she just hung her head and uttered, "you win Alice" and gave me full control of her powers. There must have been a bright light because when I woke up, all of the teens were staring up at my window, baffled and confused. I looked in the mirror, one of my eyes was blue and the other was green. I phased into my wolf form to see if what was happening in my human form was in my wolf form too, and sure enough I had one yellow eye and one red eye. I was confused and I let out a small gasp, my eye was no longer red, it was changing colors, like blue and purple and green. I wanted the colors to stop, so I would not startle my friends. Just as I was expecting, it changed into white and stayed that way. It was almost like I was commanding it to. I phased back into a human and I walked down the stairs for the first time in days, full of confidence after mastering control of Sarah.

"What the hell was that?!?" Kirsten yelled. Max just made a grunting noise and Mason stood still staring up, jaw open. "Nofing," I said innocently, trying to act like a normal six year old. I closed the window and rushed down the stairs, skipping a few. I opened the front door and stood beside Mason. I had really connected to him in the short time we had been interacting. Kirsten however was the easiest to open up to, even though she was a vampire. I nudged Kirsten playfully and sung, "Kirsten and Mason sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G". Kirsten glared at me and I ran around her. She ran after me playfully yelling and growling.

*Mason's view*
"You can hurt me, but please, just dont touch her..." a girl pleaded, laying on her side. A young girl, no more than a year old, lay behind her. She was completely clueless to the situation and was playing with her mother's hair. The mother of the girl looked like she was about 16-17 years old. She had olive colored skin and elbow length ebony shaded hair. Her daughter looked very much like her, but had one green eye and one brown eye. "Please...don't hurt her..." the girl cried, her sobs filling the cottage she was in. The young girl looked up from behind her mother's back and let out an ear piercing screech when she saw a large black wolf growling at both of them, his jaws dripping with blood. The wolf looked at the girl and lunged, but her mother jumped on top of the wolf and wrestled it to the ground. The mother of the young girl screamed as she got many bites to the throat, causing blood to spill over the floor, and reach her little daughter's knees. The young girl hid behind a shelf as she watched her mother take the wolf's jaws and tear them apart from it's face with her bare hands, causing it to scream in pain and run out of the cottage. "B-b-b-b-brooke..." the mother of the girl pleaded as she laid on the ground, the soul leaving her body. The young girl let out an ear piercing screech as her mother died in front of her face.
The girl's screams filled Mason's ears as he woke up from his slumber. His eyes were wide and bloodshot, and he felt the color rush from his face. "Robin and Brooke...holy shit..." he whispered, running over to Kristen's counter and fumbling for a pen and paper. After he wrote his goodbye note, he phased into his wolf form and took off into the forest.
Later in the morning...Kristen's view
"Mason?" I called as I walked down the stairs. I was nursing Alice all night, helping her become a normal person again and tending to her wounds. Mason said he would give her and I space and slept downstairs. "Mason?" I asked, and walked around the kitchen until I found a note on the table.
Kristen, If your reading this, I left. I had to. I had a vision from my sister, Robin. She was killed by a rogue werewolf and her daughter is left alone. I have to find her daughter and serve justice for my sister by killing her killer. I'm so sorry. I love you. -Mason
I gasped loudly and threw my hand over my mouth, and sobs started to fill my house. "Kristen? What's wrong?" Max asked, coming down the stairs. Alice followed her. I showed them the note and they both gasped. "I'm going to go look for him. Are you guys coming?" I asked, taking deep breaths to calm myself down. They both nodded and phased, and we started on our way to the werewolf bay reservation.

I grinned, we were going on an actual adventure, like the ones in my old storybooks. I grabbed my backpack and dashed up the stairs, if we were going on an adventure, I couldn’t wear my mother’s dress. I unzipped the zipper of the back pocket, and there, neatly folded were some of my other clothes that I had taken from my old home. After I had finished changing and tidying myself up, I looked in the mirror and nodded. The black jean shorts, blue tee shirt, jacket, and bandanna surprisingly worked well together, or at least I thought they did. I swung the backpack over my shoulder and dashed out of the house. Max and Kirsten were standing side-by side talking, I walked over and linked arms with them. Kirsten scoffed playfully and Max just rolled her eyes, something was bothering her. I took the first step forward, ready to start the adventure. Kirsten stared out into the forest, I let go of Max's hand and hugged Kirsten, "It will be alright, I will make sure he comes back, even if I have to die." She nodded and gave a weak smile, I knew she loved Mason, and I would not let some rouge werewolf destroy that.

I stood in the forest and my eyes scanned the familiar area with relief, my eyes landed on a house far in the distance and I gasped slightly. It felt like ages since I had last seen Quinn's house but I now stood before it once again. I looked back at my traveling companions, Kirsten, Max, Mason, and the newest member Brooke. We had managed to track down both Mason and the werewolf who killed his sister, we made quick work of him and so our journey had been cut sooner than expected. Nothing had changed, the house and Quinn both looked as though they had been preserved in time. I had not changed much either, besides my hair now reaching an unreal length. I had it braided and pinned up due to this but the ends still dragged on the floor. I did not care at that point since all that mattered to me was seeing Quinn again. She stood in the doorway, her gaze was warmer than I remembered it to be. I giggled and ran to her, pulling her into a tight hug. "Did ya miss me?" I said in an innocent and eager tone, she just nodded and kept her gaze on Kirsten and the others. I copied her posture and stance, seeing as I could never be that strict or cold and ushered them all inside to get cleaned up. We had finally overcome one of our greatest challenges, even though it took two years, it seemed as though time never passed when I was with these people.
